Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As an Area Manager for Surendranagar within Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd's Farm Division, you will play a pivotal role in driving regional sales and marketing efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Strategically mapping territories by segment, application, and potential to optimise market coverage and sales efficiency.
- Accurately forecasting sales for the current portfolio of models and products to align with business goals.
- Collaborating closely with local dealers to implement targeted sales and marketing initiatives aimed at achieving and surpassing region-specific sales targets.
- Identifying, engaging, and nurturing sustainable relationships with key strategic customers, including fleet owners and transport operators.
- Leading customer engagement activities, such as organizing and conducting meetings with customer segments including transporters, carrying and forwarding agents to negotiate and finalise group deals effectively.
- Designing and implementing innovative finance schemes in partnership with financiers to enhance channel sales capabilities.
- Guiding and mentoring channel partners to develop robust secondary sales and service networks across the region.
- Functioning as a critical liaison between the product development and marketing teams and the end customers, ensuring alignment of product offerings with market requirements.
- Providing timely and insightful feedback to product and marketing teams based on customer expectations and competitive market intelligence.
- Monitoring competitor activities and upcoming product launches, devising strategic plans to maintain a competitive advantage.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree with a specialisation in Agriculture or Mechanical Engineering. This educational background will support understanding of the technical aspects pertinent to agricultural machinery and mechanical products, enabling effective communication with customers and internal teams alike.
Additional certifications in sales management, marketing, or business administration will be considered advantageous and beneficial for success in this role by enhancing strategic and operational skills.
