Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
• EHS Implementation
- Build and promote a strong EHS culture across the plant
- Implement Mahindra EHS standards
- Develop and maintain EHS SOPs
• Monitoring & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all legal EHS requirements
- Report EHS data as per company requirements
- Manage safe disposal of waste through authorized vendors
- Ensure fire safety compliance and readiness
- Conduct environmental monitoring of the site
- Oversee STP & RO operations
• Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with teams and share best practices
- Manage PPE as per plant requirements
- Support ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 implementation
- Assist in emergency preparedness (fire & evacuation plans)
- Support incident/accident investigations and MIS preparation
- Capture and act on near-miss incidents
• Capacity Building
- Conduct EHS induction and training for new employees
- Participate in mock drills and safety training sessions
- Deliver daily toolbox talks on shop floor safety
- Ensure contractor safety management
- Prepare and implement annual training calendar
• Audits & Inspections
- Conduct internal safety audits across the plant
- Perform supplier audits and ensure closure of findings
- Support external audits and regulatory inspections
Experience
5+ years mandatory
Industry Preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma with Post Diploma in Industrial Safety from RLI/CLI/RGIST.
General Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination and capacity building.
- Experience in conducting recycler audits, inspections, and enforcement actions is desirable.
- Proficiency in using relevant software applications and tools for data management and analysis.
- Certified internal auditor for ISO 14001/45001
- Proficiency in Kannada language is necessary.
