Deputy Manager - BIW Process Engineering

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Product feasibility and Process Flow analysis and study for BIW assembly and feed back to Rand D
  • Technical Analysis and Comparisons amongst different Suppliers
  • Integrating respective functional area (BIW Assembly) for a project
  • Providing functional area deliverables including respective Manufacturing process
  • Preparing the manufacturing Strategy for the New product development. Capital budget Preparation and Optimising the budget based on Product assumptions and Process Synergies
  • Ensuring all the MPDS - Gate ways requirements ( Manufacturing Related requirements. Ensuring Sustainable packaging and Logistics cost Optimisation by Increasing the Qty / trolley
  • Developing Line and Logistics layout by convincing the required stake holders. FTG and Spares planning, Procurement and Establishing to mfg the new product
  • Prepare and follow PFMEA/MFMEA of Equipments. Design Approval of required systems with Project tracking
  • Installation and commissioning of equipments with punch item list and without missing the Project Time lines
  • Supports production department for day to day activites and smooth implementation of Installed Equipment
  • Develop BIW process plans for Manual and Robotic welding Lines
  • Installation and commissioning with post SOP support for Process and cycle time prove out
  • Line layout, Manufacturing process flow, Cycle time chart and RFQ preparation of BIW sub assembly
  • Do process study wrt gun, equipment, fixtures and suggest suitable changes in product to ensure first time right manufacturability
  • Collaborate and Coordinate with Line builders to get the line simulation done and optimize the robot paths, robot zoning and again give feedback for any improvement required in design

Experience

BE/BTech - 5-10 Years of Work Experience

Industry Preferred

Degree ( Mechanical / Automobile/production) 

General Requirements

  • Find out root causes to achieve cycle time targets if not achieved
  • Ensure Zero error / collision / losses through continuous involvement with execution team
  • Interaction with customer and Concern Resolution. Manufacturing feasibility study for new model introduction in existing line
  • Develop BIW process plans for Manual and Robotic welding Lines
  • Collaborate with Shop process, PLC and Line builders for verification of Simulation and OLP during DAP and trials at suppliers
