Deputy Manager - Paint Technology

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1.Preparation of layouts for green field or brown field projects for capacity requirements of the Paint shop
2.Preapare 2D and 3D drawings, process layout & for aggregate parts parts using software's like AutoCAD, CATIA etc
3.Create RFQs, project charter & documentations, suppliers and stake holder sign offs
4.Preparation of project time lines, able to identify breakeven, bottleneck points, suggest & implementation solution for the issue without affecting schedule  
5.Detailing of various conveyor types with latest designs, expertise in process like PTCED, Ovens, Air supply units, Paint booths, Paint & sealer distribution with know how of control parameters required for the same for quality output for the product , knowledge of sealing & painting robots
6.Undertsanding of Civil, Utilities drawings for interface with process layouts.
7.Process feasibility study and prove out for new products in existing facilities using soft tools and actual trails 
8.Inputs during design phase for new product for sealing, painting, waxing, UB masking & various paint shop processes 
9.New product planning - FTG'S (Facility, tools, gauges & fixtures) - budget workout, procurement & implementation with innovative solutions
10.Preapare & support new equipment and refurbishment activities- Installation,Commissioing & handover to mfg. team with proper documentation 
11.Benchmarking of paint shop processes & automation for energy efficiency & foot print reduction
12.Benchmarking of OEM products for sealing, paining ,waxing etc, implementation of data in products for product quality, weight improvement 
13.Workout capital & revenue budget requirement as per new product / platform requirement & other improvement / facility projects

Preferred Industries

Education Qualification

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile / Production
Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical / Automobile / Production 
Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical / Automobile / Production

General Experience

2 to 8 years of experience in Paint shop, Production line.

Plant Engineeirng / Manufacturing engineering.
