Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Procurement Operations

  • Procure production direct materials as per business requirements.
  • Release monthly schedule to supplier as per monthly requirement.
  • Follow up of parts as per schedules .
  • Ensure timely amendments to PO quantities, schedules.

2. Material Availability Management

  • Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production requirements.
  • Follow up with suppliers for on-time dispatches and deliveries.
  • Manage shortages and critical part escalations.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Stores teams to avoid line stoppages.

3. Supplier Coordination

  • Maintain effective working relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance.
  • Conduct regular follow-up reviews for pending supplies and commitments.
  • Support resolution of supply-related issues.

4. Inventory Optimization

  • Balance inventory levels with production requirements.
  • Avoid excess inventory and stock-out situations.
  • Monitor slow-moving and excess inventory.
  • Support inventory reduction and working capital improvement initiatives.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with:

  • Production Planning (PPC)
  • Stores
  • Logistics
  • Quality Assurance
  • Finance
  • Engineering

to ensure smooth material flow and timely issue resolution.

6. SAP / ERP Operations

  • Maintain procurement transactions accurately in SAP.
  • Track material requirements and procurement status.
  • Generate and analyze procurement reports.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and dashboards.

7. Risk Management

  • Identify supply risks proactively.
  • Escalate risks that may impact production schedules.

Support contingency planning during supply disruptions.
