We are currently seeking a dedicated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our dynamic team based in Dheesa, Gujarat. This position reports directly to the Deputy General Manager (DGM) Sales and plays a vital role in driving our market presence and business growth across the designated territory.
About the Role
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be instrumental in managing and expanding our distributor and dealer network, implementing sales strategies, and generating demand in alignment with company objectives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead sales initiatives in the seed potato sector, leveraging your agriculture expertise and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Distributor and Dealer Network Management: Strategically plan, appoint, and continuously assess the performance of distributors and dealers within the territory. Build and sustain strong relationships to foster impactful business partnerships, ensuring excellent after-sales service through well-defined SOPs. Proactively resolve any conflicts to maintain smooth operations.
- Sales Planning and Execution: Collaborate with Zonal Manager (ZM) and DGM to formulate realistic and ambitious sales budgets. Drive various sales campaigns and schemes tailored to regional market dynamics, ensuring effective order-to-cash processes. Coordinate delivery schedules and inventory management with cross-functional teams to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Demand Generation: Lead and execute demand generation programs such as Village Level Meetings (VLM), Customer Seminars (CS), High-Definition campaigns, and Jeep campaigns. Inspire and manage the team of Market Development Officers (MDOs) to establish meaningful farmer connections and convert leads into sales. Support marketing efforts, including Above The Line (ATL) activities, by coordinating with external agencies. Provide ongoing technical training to the MDO team on potato agronomy to empower them with relevant knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. Candidates with a Master of Science in Agriculture or Agribusiness Management (ABM) will be preferred. A strong background of 4-5 years in seed potato or agri-input industries is essential to excel in this role.

- Sound knowledge of agriculture practices, particularly in potato cultivation, to effectively support technical trainings and demand generation activities.
Work Environment and Travel
This role is based in Dheesa, Gujarat, serving as a critical link between the company's strategic objectives and on-the-ground execution. Although extensive travel is a significant aspect of this position to maintain strong distributor, dealer, and farmer relationships, no overnight travel is required.
