Area Sales Manager
Guwahati, Guwahati, IN
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As an Area Sales Manager at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd within the Automotive Division, you will take ownership of driving end-to-end retail sales processes to meet defined business objectives. Your core responsibilities include managing the E-T-B-R cycle (Enquiry, Test Drive, Booking, Retail) by planning and executing targeted activations to generate enquiries, ensuring both the volume and quality of test drives, and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of booking data.
You will be accountable for achieving retail sales targets, focusing on vehicle delivery note (VDN) versus retail ratios, and continuously enhancing conversion ratios (CVR) through process improvements. Accurate and timely data management within the Dealer Management System (DMS) will be paramount.
Sales planning will involve forecasting for upcoming months and strategising accordingly to optimise market coverage. In addition to sales targets, manpower productivity is a critical area—identifying training needs, motivating the sales team through rewards and incentives, and ensuring adherence to the established sales story are pivotal tasks.
Another essential aspect is digital transformation adoption. You will champion the use of digital tools such as Test Drive Anytime Anywhere (TDAA), Personal Voice Assistant (PVA), Bring Showroom Home (BSH), Virtual Reality (VR) technologies, and tablets. These tools aim to enhance digital engagement, maximise conversion ratios, and enhance customer experience. Ensuring the adequacy and skill level of Digital Engagement Managers to support these initiatives is within your remit.
Financial oversight responsibilities include managing dealer working capital rotation, reducing dealer market outstanding amounts, liquidating ageing stock effectively, and forecasting inventory requirements for the near future. You will execute activation plans to consistently generate enquiries and sustain pipeline health.
By orchestrating all these elements harmoniously, you will play a vital role in the company’s growth, upholding Mahindra’s commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction, and innovative sales strategies.
