Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

The role of AM - Utility in the Manufacturing Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd involves a variety of responsibilities designed to ensure the efficient operation of plant utilities. You will oversee the maintenance and optimisation of utility systems to support production lines while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Key deliverables will include:

• Implementing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to identify utility needs and ensure timely supply and service.
• Monitoring utility consumption and effectiveness, and proposing initiatives for energy efficiency.
• Conducting regular audits and inspections of utility systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Training team members on operational protocols and safety practices.
• Documenting maintenance activities and reports for continuous improvement.
• Acting as a point of contact for technical inquiries related to utility systems.

Preferred Industries

Education Qualification

To excel in this role, a Bachelor of Engineering degree is required, with a preference for specialisation in Mechanical Engineering. A strong educational background in fields related to engineering will provide a solid foundation for understanding the technical complexities involved in plant utility operations. Continued professional development through certification programs or additional coursework in energy management or industrial engineering is encouraged to stay current with best practices and technological advancements in the industry.

General Experience

1-5 years

Critical Experience

Critical experience includes:

• Hands-on experience with CNC machines and programming, reflecting a robust technical background.
• Proficiency in quality management systems such as ISO 9000, ISO TS 16949, and ISO/IEC 17025, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Experience conducting Machinery Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (MFMEA) to mitigate risks associated with mechanical failures.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data for decision-making and process improvement.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Standards, including OHSAS 18001, ensuring a safe workplace.
