Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As an Assistant Manager in the Buying team at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing process for the Farm Division. Your key deliverables will include developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality standards.

In addition, you will be expected to collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs, evaluate supplier performance, and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.

Experience

The ideal candidate for this role will have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a procurement or buying role. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering is required to ensure a solid technical understanding of the products being purchased.

Experience with supply chain management systems and strong negotiation skills will be essential to succeed in this position.

Industry Preferred

Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry would be preferred for this role due to the technical nature of the products within the Farm Division. Candidates with exposure to agricultural machinery or equipment procurement will have an added advantage.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards in the industry will also be beneficial in ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering

- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in procurement or buying

- Strong negotiation and communication skills

- Familiarity with supply chain management systems

- Understanding of procurement best practices and quality standards
