Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Maintain and optimise inventory levels to ensure consistent availability of raw materials and components for manufacturing processes, aligning with production schedules and supply chain demand.
  • Participate actively in inventory planning sessions to define and adjust optimal inventory thresholds that balance cost-efficiency and operational readiness.
  • Monitor inventory performance regularly, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements concerning inventory management, procurement, and loss prevention.
  • Implement and oversee robust loss prevention techniques and practices to minimise shrinkage, damages, and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement teams, and suppliers to synchronize supply chains, fostering effective communication and timely resolution of supply issues.
  • Manage and lead the daily operations of the Material Logistics and Lifecycle (MLL) staff, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all inventory control processes, including audits and compliance checks.
  • Apply industry best practices and technological advancements to improve inventory accuracy, reduce lead times, and enhance supply chain responsiveness.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting activities related to inventory and supply chain expenditures.
  • Support cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, sustainability, and cost optimisation within the farm division.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on inventory metrics for senior management and stakeholders to aid strategic planning.

Education Qualification

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is essential, with a strong preference for candidates holding a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical). This educational background equips candidates with the technical knowledge required to understand mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics pertinent to the tractor and automotive industry.

Additional certifications in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or related fields would be advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.

Knowledge of inventory management software and ERP systems is highly desirable, as it supports efficient planning and control activities within the division.

Ongoing learning and adaptation to industry trends, sustainability practices, and technological advancements are encouraged to maintain and enhance relevance in this role.

General Experience

The ideal candidate will possess between 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, primarily in supply chain planning, procurement, or inventory management within the automotive sector or similar industries.

This experience should demonstrate a progressive responsibility in managing inventory levels, collaborating with manufacturing departments, enforcing compliance measures, and leading small to medium teams.

Knowledge and practical engagement in loss prevention techniques, stock auditing, and supply-demand forecasting will be expected.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and aligning supply chain operations with business strategies will be essential to succeed in this role.

Familiarity with sustainable supply chain practices and operational excellence methodologies will be considered a significant asset.
