Deputy Manager - Tractor Assembly

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As the Deputy Manager - Tractor Assembly, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient production and assembly of tractor units within our Farm Division. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the tractor assembly team to ensure timely and quality completion of assembly processes while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Coordinating closely with engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and logistics teams to maintain seamless workflow and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality within the assembly line.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and collaborating with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and environmental regulations throughout the assembly process.
  • Driving effective communication and training programs to maintain a skilled workforce, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Analyzing production data to generate reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending actionable improvements.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance technical knowledge with people management skills to drive operational success.

Experience

We seek candidates with solid experience in manufacturing environments, particularly within tractor or heavy equipment assembly lines. Essential experience includes:

  • Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or mechanical assembly roles.
  • Proven track record of managing complex assembly operations, meeting production targets while ensuring high quality and safety standards.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks to optimize assembly workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborate effectively across departments, and implement best practices in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with mechanical components, assembly tools, fixtures, and machinery pertinent to tractor manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and maintenance coordination.

Experience in working within automotive or farm equipment sectors is highly desirable.

Industry Preferred

While expertise in the agricultural machinery sector is preferred, candidates from related heavy machinery, automotive, or industrial equipment manufacturing industries will also be considered. We value experience in industries such as:
