Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Lead and manage process engineering activities specifically tailored for the production of tractors within the Manufacturing and Farm divisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance productivity, and reduce costs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with design, production, and quality teams to implement process changes and ensure smooth integration into manufacturing lines.
- Oversee the development, documentation, and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for assembly, testing, and production workflows.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, and safety, using data analytics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for process enhancement.
- Lead projects focused on the introduction of innovative technologies and methodologies to improve tractor manufacturing efficiency and product robustness.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality management systems such as TS 16949 and ISO 14001, as well as occupational health and safety standards (OHSAS 18001).
- Foster cross-functional stakeholder communication and engagement to align process improvements with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Champion employee skill development and team capability building, promoting a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous learning on the shop floor.
- Manage resource planning and allocation for process engineering teams to meet production schedules and targets effectively.
- Participate actively in strategic business planning, applying a global mindset and sustainability focus to process engineering practices.
- Drive adherence to 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and PQCDSM principles across production facilities to elevate operational excellence.

Education Qualification
- A Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or a Bachelor's Degree of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering is required.
- Candidates with equivalent diplomas or bachelor's degrees related to manufacturing and mechanical disciplines will also be considered.
- Educational background should demonstrate strong fundamentals in mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and automotive technology.
- Additional certifications or training in quality management systems (e.g., TS 16949), occupational health and safety standards (OHSAS), and continuous improvement methodologies will be advantageous.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry advancements in process engineering within the tractor manufacturing sector is essential.
General Experience
- For candidates holding a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in process engineering or manufacturing within the automobile or manufacturing industries, preferably in tractor production or related heavy machinery.
- For candidates with a Diploma qualification: 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience managing process engineering, production optimization, or quality assurance in automotive or manufacturing environments.
- Experience should include working in dynamic production settings involving assembly line management, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in cross-functional team collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication within the manufacturing domain.
- Exposure to implementing quality management standards such as TS 16949, ISO 14001, and occupational health and safety protocols (OHSAS 18001) is highly desirable.
Critical Experience
- Proven track record in managing process engineering for tractor or heavy vehicle manufacturing, including practical knowledge of assembly processes, testing procedures, and product validation.
- Strong understanding and application of production management tools such as PQCDSM, TPM, and lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiency and quality enhancements.
- Experience in developing and deploying system documentation compliant with industry standards including TS 16949, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 to maintain certifications and audit readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead innovation-driven transformation initiatives, acting as a change catalyst and managing risks responsibly.
- Competence in employee management and skill development, fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment dedicated to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
