Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- As a Territory Manager - Sales for Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd in the Farm Division, your primary responsibility will be to manage multiple dealerships within your assigned territory to achieve critical business objectives including sales volume growth, market share expansion, collections efficiency, and after-sales service performance.
2. You will be entrusted with ensuring a viable and robust distribution network by selecting, appointing, and supporting dealers and sub-dealers to achieve optimal market coverage. This includes assessing dealer capabilities, monitoring their performance, and implementing targeted development plans to foster their business growth.
3. Maintaining a well-trained and motivated manpower base at dealerships is essential; you will coordinate and ensure the availability of trained personnel in adequate numbers, facilitating skill enhancement through continuous coaching and training programs. You will lead the deployment and adoption of various operational systems such as MSS and Pancharatna, coaching dealerships to align with Mahindra's standards and best practices.
4. Driving customer satisfaction is pivotal, hence you will oversee the availability and continual improvement of appropriate service infrastructure at each dealership, advocating and implementing service excellence initiatives that elevate customer experience.
5. Your role also encompasses the strategic planning and execution of local sales promotion activities including product launches and marketing campaigns tailored to your territory. You will provide hands-on training for dealer sales staff on pre-sales and sales methodologies, product features, and modifications, ensuring they are well-equipped to cater to customer needs effectively.
6. You will monitor and analyse competitor activities and market trends, capturing actionable feedback on competitive and Mahindra products for strategic planning and adaptation. Moreover, you will design and implement dealer-specific incentive schemes aimed at motivating and aligning dealership efforts with Mahindra's sales goals.
7. Fostering partnerships with financial institutions and banks will also be part of your mandate, seeking innovative retail financing opportunities that facilitate customer acquisition and product accessibility.
8. Through effective communication and leadership, you will be the key driver in integrating market intelligence, operational excellence, and customer focus to achieve sustained business growth in your territory.

Experience should include working closely with dealers or distributors, overseeing manpower deployment, and executing sales promotions and product launches.
Strong exposure to sales process training, customer service enhancement, and market analysis will contribute significantly to the candidate's effectiveness in this position.
Critical Experience
Critical to this role is proven expertise in dealership network management and business development within the farm equipment or automotive industries.
Demonstrated competence in implementing comprehensive dealer training programs and operational systems (e.g., MSS, Pancharatna) is required to ensure standardized and effective sales and service operations.
The candidate must have a strong track record of designing and executing sales promotions, incentive schemes, and product launch plans that drive market penetration and customer engagement.
Experience liaising successfully with financial institutions to secure retail financing solutions for customers is highly valuable, as is proficiency in using market intelligence to anticipate competitor activities and adapt strategies accordingly.
