Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
1. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve area sales targets for:
- Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV)
- Intermediate & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (ICV/HCV)
- Drive retail and institutional (B2B/fleet) sales
- Identify new business opportunities in transport, logistics, construction, and fleet segments
- Execute sales campaigns, product promotions, and market activation activities
2. Dealer Management
- Manage and support dealerships within the assigned territory
- Ensure dealer profitability and adherence to company guidelines
- Monitor dealer performance (sales, stock, inquiry conversion)
- Conduct regular dealer reviews and implement action plans
- Ensure availability of vehicle stock and display standards
3. Customer & Fleet Engagement
- Build strong relationships with:
- Fleet owners
- Transporters
- Contractors and institutional clients
- Handle key accounts and large fleet deals
- Gather customer feedback and improve satisfaction levels
- Support financing options with NBFCs/banks to close deals
4. Market Development & Competition Tracking
- Conduct market research to understand:
- Demand trends
- Competitor activities (Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, etc.)
- Develop localized strategies to increase market share
- Identify new routes, industries, and potential fleet customers
5. After-Sales Coordination
- Coordinate with service teams to ensure:
- Customer satisfaction
- Warranty support
- Service quality
- Monitor vehicle uptime and support resolution of customer complaints
- Strengthen AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) and service penetration
6. Financial & Collection Management
- Track receivables and ensure timely collections
- Work closely with dealers and finance partners to minimize credit risk
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance in financing deals
7. Team Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams:
- Sales
- Service
- Spare Parts
- Finance & Credit
- Support training and development of dealer sales staff
- Drive performance culture across the area
