Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
This position is within the Manufacturing Division offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and manage various aspects of product development and operational excellence. The key responsibilities and deliverables for this role include:
- Driving New Product Development initiatives to ensure timely and efficient product launches.
- Implementing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimise product designs for manufacturability.
- Overseeing Change Management activities to effectively transition projects and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
- Facilitating PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) to guarantee that the manufacturing process meets required specifications.
- Coordinating Line Trials to validate the efficiency of new processes and technologies prior to full-scale production.
- Championing Continuous Improvement initiatives across the team to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Managing Torquing guidelines and procedures to maintain high standards in assembly tasks.
- Leading Digitization efforts to transform traditional processes into efficient digital workflows.
- Implementing MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique) for time study and analysis to improve work efficiency.
- Executing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programmes to ensure optimal equipment effectiveness.
- Driving Lean and Kaizen methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency within the team.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a solid educational background, including:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BE/B Tech) with a focus on Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
Additionally, the candidate should have:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in roles that emphasize product development and process optimisation.
General Experience
General experience requirements for the Assistant Manager role include:
- A robust experience of 3-5 years, ideally within the Automotive sector or related industries such as Auto Components and Equipment.
- Proven track record in managing projects or teams in a manufacturing environment, showcasing problem-solving capabilities.
