Preferred Industries
Education Qualification
Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognised university or institution. This foundational technical education provides essential engineering principles pertinent to manufacturing and production planning.
A minimum of five years of professional experience in production planning, manufacturing technology, or a related industrial role is required to ensure a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials management, and resource optimisation.
Additional certifications or training in production management, supply chain logistics, or quality management systems such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM) will be considered advantageous.
The role values ongoing professional development, so candidates who demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning through workshops, seminars, or advanced technical courses align well with organisational goals.
General Experience
Applicants should bring substantial experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within the automotive or tractor industries, to effectively manage complex production schedules and materials coordination.
- A strong competency in planning and resource allocation is essential to ensure production targets are met without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Proficiency in SAP or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for inventory management, production tracking, and procurement is highly desirable, enabling seamless integration with organisational systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis, Word for reporting, and PowerPoint for presentations, support effective communication and decision-making.
- Experience with manufacturing technology and an understanding of production shop capacities are critical for effective daily production planning and ensuring optimal workflow within a manufacturing plant.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and materials sourcing strategies enhances the ability to manage material shortages and expedite deliveries in a dynamic production environment.
