In Assembly Backend, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the assembly operations to ensure seamless production processes and high-quality outputs. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring all production output consistently meets or exceeds established quality standards, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Monitoring and driving continuous improvement of key PQCDSM parameters (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale) through detailed daily Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycles and gap analyses to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Applying in-depth knowledge of production management principles to optimize workflow efficiency, resource allocation, and operational capacity within assembly backend functions.
  • Implementing and maintaining compliance with applicable quality standards, health, and safety regulations to safeguard team members and protect company assets.
  • Utilizing performance evaluation techniques to measure departmental and employee productivity, while actively participating in budgeting processes to support fiscal responsibility.
  • Reporting regularly on essential production metrics, including yield rates, downtime analysis, and throughput, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Exercising strong organisational and leadership capabilities to effectively manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, engagement, and skills development.
  • Managing and updating controlled documents such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and Action Items (AI), ensuring timely revisions aligned with any process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.

General Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within manufacturing environments, preferably within the automobile or tractor industry segments. Experience should demonstrate the following:

  • Hands-on exposure to assembly backend operations encompassing workflow optimisation, quality assurance, and performance monitoring.
  • A proven track record in applying production management theories to real-world manufacturing challenges, contributing to operational cost efficiency and improved productivity.
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams and coordinating efforts to foster continuous improvement and maintain safe working conditions.
  • Familiarity with the use and management of controlled documentation to support compliance and standardisation.
  • Practical engagement with quality management tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, ISO 9000 standards, and audit processes.
