Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
In Assembly Dismounting at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd - SWARAJ DIVISION plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the manufacturing assembly processes within the Swaraj Division. This position demands proactive leadership to ensure seamless execution of production schedules while upholding the highest standards of quality and workplace safety.
- Lead and coordinate daily production activities in Assembly - Plant 2, ensuring alignment with planned targets and efficient utilisation of resources.
- Continuously monitor quality control metrics to meet or exceed internal standards and customer expectations, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Develop, communicate, and enforce robust safety protocols befitting the manufacturing environment, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance among all team members.
- Champion cost optimisation initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities, streamlining workflows, and evaluating new product introduction strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Plan and manage workforce allocation, including the orchestration of comprehensive training and upskilling programs aimed at enhancing team competency and performance.
- Implement and sustain mistake-proofing methodologies such as Poka Yoke to minimise errors and rework, thereby driving production excellence.
- Maintain stringent control over line rejection rates by investigating root causes and deploying targeted process improvements to uphold product quality and minimise losses.
- Drive Lean manufacturing principles throughout operations to eliminate non-value-adding activities, optimise process flows, and foster continuous improvement.
- Lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects to cultivate innovation, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
- Leverage advanced digital manufacturing tools and data analytics techniques to enhance decision-making processes, improve production visibility, and increase overall line efficiency.

- A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in manufacturing, preferably within automobile or tractor sectors, reflecting familiarity with heavy machinery assembly processes.
- Hands-on experience overseeing production schedules, quality control, and workforce management in assembly line settings.
- Proven track record in implementing Lean methodologies, continuous improvement initiatives, and safety protocols within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience contributing to product development and cost optimisation projects that enhance assembly process efficiency and output quality.
