Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
The Lead COE for Compensation and Benefits is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs that align with the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role collaborates with HR Shared Services, business leaders, and external agencies to deliver a seamless experience in compensation and benefits management. Additionally, the role focuses on optimizing benefit administration, cost reduction initiatives, accurate organizational data management, and enhancing employee experience through collaboration and simplification initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement a forward-looking total rewards strategy, encompassing external benchmarking, competitive pay structures, and long-term incentive (LTI) programs to attract, retain, and motivate talent. Ensure alignment of compensation programs with organizational goals, internal equity, and external market competitiveness.
Compensation Management:
- Lead the annual compensation review process, integrating business priorities and market trends to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Provide strategic guidance on salary budgets, forecasting, and workforce planning to support sustainable growth.
- Analyze and evaluate external market data as well as internal data about the organization's current employee population and future human resource needs in order to develop salary budgets and forecasts that are consistent with the organization’s reward strategy
- Provide compensation data to external agencies for surveys and other official purposes.
- Collect market intelligence and compensation trends to support informed decision-making.
Benefits Administration:
- Design and deliver innovative benefits programs that enhance employee well-being and align with evolving workforce needs.
- Optimize processes for benefits administration, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency while driving cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable compensation and benefits laws, statutes, and regulations.
- Oversee outplacement/ERS ex-gratia projections, senior new joining cases, cost reduction initiatives, and bulk employee movements.
Data Analytics & Management, Employee Experience:
- Oversee organizational data accuracy and relevance to enable advanced analytics and decision-making.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of HR dashboards (e.g., Vihaan) to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Design and develop compensation systems, SAP/SuccessFactors administration, and data management processes tailored to business needs.
- Champion simplification and collaboration initiatives to improve employee experiences, focusing on key "Moments that Matter" (MTM).
- Partner with HR Shared Services, business leaders, and external agencies to ensure seamless execution of compensation and benefits programs.
Experience
14 to 18 Years
Industry Preferred
Qualifications
Bachelors' degree from accredited university
Advanced post-graduate degree (MBA or Masters in HRM preferred)
General Requirements
- 14-18 years of experience in HR, 5+ years of experience in relevant COE role for large organization.
- Experience in driving organization-wide transformation projects, experience in HR consulting preferable
Primary Skills (Functional):
- Subject Matter Expert in the area of Total Rewards and Compensation & Benefits
- Strong Knowledge of SAP and SF
- Strong knowledge of Domestic & International Compensation
Secondary Skills (Functional):
- Meticulous with a clear eye for detail, accuracy, and an ability to process and analyse data using multiple inputs
