Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Role Overview
As part of the Mahindra Auto Accessories team, Manager – Testing & Homologation Engineer will be responsible for validating the performance, durability, quality, and regulatory compliance of vehicle accessories throughout the product development lifecycle. This role will ensure that all accessories meet Mahindra's engineering standards, customer expectations, and statutory requirements before commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Testing Strategy & Validation Planning
- Plan and execute testing programs for vehicle accessories across development and validation stages.
- Develop test schedules, validation plans, and resource requirements to support product development timelines and launch readiness.
Fitment, Durability & Performance Validation
- Conduct fitment, durability, environmental, and performance testing to verify product functionality and reliability.
- Evaluate test results and recommend design or process improvements to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Design Verification & DVP Execution
- Prepare and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP) for accessory programs.
- Ensure validation activities are completed in accordance with engineering requirements, quality standards, and program timelines.
Homologation & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage homologation documentation, submission requirements, and approval processes for accessories.
- Ensure compliance with applicable automotive regulations, certification standards, and customer requirements.
Certification Agency Coordination
- Coordinate with ARAI and other certification agencies to obtain necessary approvals and compliance certifications.
- Track approval timelines and ensure timely completion of homologation activities to support product launches.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in accessories testing and validation.
- Hands-on experience in homologation processes and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Design Verification Plan (DVP) preparation and execution.
- Knowledge of ARAI compliance and automotive certification requirements.
- Strong understanding of vehicle accessories, fitment validation, and performance testing methodologies.
Education Qualification
Experience & Qualifications
- 4–5 years of experience in automotive testing, homologation, validation, quality engineering, or accessories product development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience working with automotive OEMs, accessory manufacturers, testing agencies, or certification bodies preferred.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance, ARAI approvals, product validation, and homologation activities will be an advantage.
