Manager - Safety Officer Kandivali Plant

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

    • Assist in the formulation and enhancement of HSE systems to align with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards.
    • Ensure the systems meet statutory requirements and client expectations
    • Aid in executing the HSE strategy for the project.
    • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with workplace activities
    • Ensure adherence to statutory and client safety regulations.
    • Conduct safety inspections and audits regularly.
    • Investigate accidents/incidents and perform root cause analysis.
    • Develop corrective measures and preventive actions.
    • Educate employees on SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) guidelines through regular training sessions.
    • Foster a culture of safety, ensuring employees follow SHE rules and actively report unsafe observations, conditions, and near misses.
    • Collaborate with the team to meet sustainability targets, including reductions in energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation
    • Ensure strict adherence to PTW guidelines for all maintenance and production activities requiring permits.
    • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all processes and systems in collaboration with the team.
    • Ensure proper implementation of the Management of Change (MoC) process for all modifications
    • Prepare and update Safety Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Identify potential hazards and establish preventive measures.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for safety operations and procedures.
    • Calculate, analyze, and report statistics related to safety performance parameters.

Education Qualification

Degree from Technical Labour Institutes core in safety procedures & practices.

Educational background in Engineering/Environmental Sciences or equivalent

Certification in OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, or related HSE standards.

7-15 Years

Critical Experience

Previous Experience in managing safety process & compliances of a manufacturing or factory setup 

Should be able to read, write & speak Marathi
