Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Demand Planning, Sales Forecasting, Inventory management, Order and Billing Management, Product Launch and VIP order management are key roles for Sales planners.
To play a key role during new product launch in Competition Mapping to arrive on bottom-up slicers wrt Transmission type, Fuel type, High/Medium/Low, Seater, etc. for an effective 6 monthly forecast to ensure “Right Product at Right Time for the Right Market in order to avoid any potential volume loss & RIGHT Inventory Management & Obsolescence
Role is extended to derive Dealer Targets based on specific parameters like Past trend, Growth, Management directives, Optimistic projections, booking (ETBR), Market share etc. and to execute & drive month Billing volumes frozen by SOG in co-ordination with CPPC, DCM, RO team & Brand Teams.
To derive on “Steady State requirement plan” for products at Trim and aggregate level basis the inputs of Booking, Orders, Dealer Stocks , Bottom-Up Forecast , Dealer Stocks , Billing / Retail movements. Analytical inputs to arrive on “Capacity Enhancements” at Trim / Aggregate levels.
Planning of assigned products basis Sales Operational Group meeting and CPCC.
Sales demand model mix planning and coordination with all related agencies (viz: Manufacturing, Marketing, TPDS, Accounts, IT, Field Sales) to plan in line with the sales requirement.
Speedreading PAN India sales billing and retails for high end SUVs.
Analyzing regional sales performance, identifying lost opportunities and recommending improvement plans.
Supporting business presentations and dealer communications conducted by departments of M&M.
Preparing monthly sales summary sheets.
Data Analysis and summary for advanced planning and indicating potential sales spikes to Top management and all Area Offices for the assigned products (example – XUV700, SCORPIO-N, Bolero etc.
PAN India dealers’ performance analysis and bridging the gaps alongwith sales team for performance achievement.
To coordinate with Brand Team, Sales Team & CPPC team wrt Long Term Planning (LTP) @ horizon of N+2 years wrt variant wise | month wise projections
Executing long term variant wise product wise advance monthly projection for 6 months for material planning to the manufacturing plant with high level of precision
Understanding of the Market in liaison with the field team and suggest course correction during current / upcoming month production / billing cycle.
Planning and Execution of short term 3 Months planning every quarter and during festive period.
Managing monthly allocation of vehicles as per stock availability; ensuring a uniform stock as per monthly average billing and retail.
Coordination with Marketing team for new product and new variant launches, ensure availability.
Single window for field sales for de-bottlenecking and issues resolution (coordination with related departments.
Coordination & Planning with Outbound Logistic team to ensure dispatch & Load Planning for different modes of transport viz : Rail / Trailers , etc to ensure high customer satisfaction and customer centric approach.
Process improvements for overall performance enhancement.
Performing system readiness for new launches, coordination with IT Team for automation of reports

General Experience
5 to 7 Years (with atleast 4 years of Sales / Demand Planning experience)
