Deputy Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infrastructure for Press Shop (Mechanical)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Purpose of the role:

To support planning, execution, commissioning and maintenance of building, utilities and infrastructure systems for Press Shop during Greenfield project implementation and plant operations.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Support execution and monitoring of building construction, utility installation and infrastructure development activities for Press Shop, ensuring compliance with project schedules, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering and contractor teams to ensure timely completion of industrial buildings, utility systems, machine foundations and associated infrastructure required for equipment installation and commissioning.
• Monitor contractor activities, work progress and resource deployment, and support closure of project punch points to achieve Start of Production (SOP) targets.
• Ensure adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, statutory requirements and EHS guidelines during project execution and commissioning activities.
• Operations & Facility Management Phase
  • Support maintenance and upkeep of Press Shop buildings, utility systems and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable and uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Execute preventive maintenance activities, coordinate repair works and support infrastructure modifications, AMC management and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor utility performance, energy consumption, maintenance KPIs and contractor performance, and support implementation of cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain maintenance records, statutory compliance documentation and MIS reports while supporting safety compliance, capacity expansion projects and infrastructure enhancement activities.

Experience

5+ years in industrial utilities, facilities or infrastructure projects. Greenfield project exposure preferred.
