Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Process Issues/Quality issues Resolution related to gear manufacturing.
- Awareness and knowledge of latest technology changes, cutting tool materials and geometries.
- Conduct straining on tools and tooling on latest trends.
- Identification of Tool life improvement projects or replacement of tool with alternate technology.
- Defect identification and root cause analysis.New model Machining set up , line setup and ramp up.
- Capacity improvements through debottlenecking and improvements.
- Rejection system-implementation of zero rejection concept.
- Revenue cost reductioninitiatives for implementation and practice Improvement idea generation and implementation.
- Interaction with all support functions and concern resolution with the help of CFT.
- Generate Safe working culture.
- Develop improvement culture.Knowledge of quality systems and adherence through review.
- Implementation of TPM in Machining.Driving tool cost reduction, Power cost Reduction and productivity improvement projects.
- Benchmark best practices across other plants and industry for manufacturing excellence.
- Knowledgeable of QS 9000 , DCP, PFMEA, Control Plan.Drive Productivity through regular reviews for indicators like OLE, OEE

- Resolving manufacturing process and quality issues with a strong focus on gear and transmission components.
- Implementing advanced cutting tool technologies and leading tooling innovation projects that enhance machining efficiency and quality.
- Applying root cause analysis and defect investigation techniques to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Managing new model machining setups including line balancing, capacity planning, and ramp-up activities with measurable success.
- Driving capacity improvement initiatives through debottlenecking and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Executing cost reduction projects related to tools, energy consumption, and process optimisation while maintaining or improving product quality.
- Implementing quality management systems such as QS 9000, performing PFMEA, developing control plans, and leading TPM initiatives within machining operations.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve operational challenges and implement best practices.
- Monitoring and improving key performance indicators like OLE and OEE to sustain manufacturing excellence.
- Experience in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement aligned with organisational goals.
