Deputy Manager - Safety

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Assist in the development of the Health, Safety and Environment systems to meet the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
  • Assist with the Implementation of the HSE Strategy on the project.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with work.
  • Ensure Compliance with all statutory and client Safety regulations.
  • Undertake Safety inspections and Audits. Incident investigation and root cause analysis of accident/incident.to educate employees by regular training on SHE guidelines, to inculcate Safety culture wherein employees Follow the laid down SHE rules.
  • To enforce Compliance on the Shop floor for SHE guidelines.
  • To create a culture where in all employees involve in Safety and Report unsafe observations and unsafe conditions. 
  • To encourage and create culture where in employees report near misses.
  • To work with the team to meet sustainability target for reduction in energy, water and waste reduction.
  • To ensure that PTW(Permit to work) is followed at site for all maintenance and production work which requires permit.
  • To do risk assessment of all processes with the team. To ensure Management of Change is followed for all change.
  • Preparation of Safety Operating procedure. Identification and prevention of hazards in the plant.
  • Documentation and records management for safety operations procedures. Calculate and maintain Statistics related to safety parameters.

Education Qualification

Diploma; Bachelors of Technology; Diploma in Mechanical; Diploma in Electrical; Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical; Bachelors of Technology in Electrical / B.Tech

General Experience

3 to 5 Years (Min. 2 years experience of large scale manufacturing industry and Chemical Industry)

Critical Experience

Critical experience distinctions are not specified for this role. However, practical knowledge and demonstrated competency in applying Health, Safety, and Environmental standards within a manufacturing environment are highly valued.

Experience working within structured safety management systems, particularly aligned with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, is considered highly advantageous, supporting the operational safety governance framework of the organisation.
