Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Purpose of the role:
ToSupport planning, execution, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure and utilities for TCF Shop to ensure project readiness during Greenfield development and reliable power availability, safety, compliance and operational excellence post SOP.
Roles and responsibilities:
Greenfield Project Phase
- Support execution and monitoring of electrical infrastructure activities for TCF Shop, including HT/LT distribution systems, substations, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, MCCs, PCCs, cable routing networks and electrical utility systems as per project schedules, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Coordinate installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems required for assembly lines, conveyors, material handling equipment, testing stations, utility equipment and associated infrastructure to ensure readiness for equipment installation, trials and Start of Production (SOP).
- Work closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing Engineering and contractor teams to ensure timely completion of project activities, commissioning support and closure of punch-point observations.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, electrical standards, statutory requirements and safety regulations during project execution and commissioning activities.
Operations & Facility Management Phase
- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance of substations, transformers, DG sets, MCCs, PCCs, UPS systems, lighting systems and power distribution networks to ensure uninterrupted TCF Shop operations.
- Monitor power consumption, equipment health, electrical system performance and utility reliability, and support implementation of energy management, reliability improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
- Coordinate contractor and vendor activities, verify work completion and ensure adherence to quality, safety and delivery requirements for maintenance and project works.
- Maintain maintenance records, electrical asset history, statutory inspection records and MIS reports, while supporting expansion projects, utility upgrades, infrastructure enhancement initiatives and electrical safety compliance activities.
Experience
5-8 years in electrical utilities, infrastructure or plant engineering with exposure to Greenfield automotive projects. TCF/Assembly shop projects, assembly line electrical infrastructure and utilities.
