Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Purpose of the role:

Lead statutory liaison, regulatory compliance and government relations activities related to mechanical utilities, buildings and infrastructure for the Greenfield Automotive Manufacturing Facility and ensure timely approvals, compliance adherence, project execution support and operational readiness throughout the infrastructure lifecycle. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead statutory, regulatory and government liaison activities for mechanical utilities, infrastructure and building projects during the Greenfield phase to ensure timely approvals, clearances and compliance required for project execution, commissioning and Start of Production (SOP).
  • Coordinate with MIDC, DISH, MPCB, Fire Department, Factory Inspectorate and other government agencies for approvals related to industrial buildings, mechanical utilities, compressed air systems, HVAC systems, fire-fighting systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Drive planning and monitoring of approval schedules, compliance requirements, statutory milestones and license renewals to support project timelines and operational readiness.
  • Review technical submissions, utility layouts, infrastructure drawings and statutory documents to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, standards and approval requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal project teams, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities to facilitate inspections, audits, approvals and statutory submissions related to infrastructure development.
  • Monitor statutory compliance status, maintain approval trackers and ensure timely closure of observations, audit findings and compliance gaps.
  • Identify regulatory risks, approval bottlenecks and compliance issues, and implement mitigation plans to minimize project delays and operational impact.
  • Support commissioning activities, factory licensing, occupancy approvals, fire NOCs, environmental clearances and operational readiness requirements prior to SOP.
  • Maintain statutory records, permits, licenses, approval databases and compliance documentation to ensure audit readiness and effective governance.
  • Support future plant expansions, utility augmentation projects, infrastructure modifications and modernization initiatives by obtaining necessary statutory and regulatory approvals.

Experience

10-15 years in Liasoning and exposure to Greenfield project will be a added advantage
