Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Independently handle stamping Surface Modelling for final machining of automotive Skin Panel, Inner panel, High Strength Panels, etc.
• 3+ Years of Surfacing experience preferred in class ‘A’ parts with Catia or Tebis
• Able to do Draw & Trim, Flange Tools surface Modelling for final machining.
• Experience and knowledge in Stamping Die manufacturing process
• Knowledge of Machining strategies, NC Programming is preferred
• Able to provide suggestions on Machining set up reduction & time
• Knowledge of concepts like Trim clearance, Flange clearance, Trimline development, shear angle, spring back compensation
• Surface morphing skills to achieve positive contact & relieving nonfunctional surfaces.
• Able to perform Trimline development, parting line development.
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Able to perform Model optimization to reduce No. of CNC set ups & Machining time.
• Experience on surface modelling in CATIA V5 is must. e.g. draw model, Trim inserts model, Flange Model, A-class surface compensation, product data change, etc.

Education Qualification

BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die Engineering

General Experience

3–5 years of proven experience in CAM programming for stamping dies or similar tooling.

Critical Experience

Technical Skills:

• • Deep understanding of stamping die components and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling and interpreting GD&T.
  • High-speed machining (HSM) techniques for hard metals. 

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of die design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia).
• Troubleshooting skills in Fanuc/Siemens machine controllers.
