Manager - Process Engineer (TCF)

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Lead process planning and industrialization activities for new product launches and engineering changes to achieve seamless production readiness
  • Handling TCF Process Engg team for Planning & execution of various platform projects & Capacity enhancement projects
  • Manage Capex projects from need identification, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning, and buy-off while ensuring cost and timeline adherence
  • Facility Planning, Development and execution of TCF fixtures along with FTG (Fixtures Tools & Gauges) process planning
  • Evaluate and implement automation and advanced manufacturing technologies to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Drive quality assurance initiatives through PFMEA, SPC, CAPA, mistake-proofing, and process controls to achieve FTR, ETR, and DCE targets
  • Lead lean manufacturing and TPM initiatives focused on lead time reduction, waste elimination, equipment effectiveness, and continuous improvement
  • Plan and execute line balancing, facility layout planning, and manpower optimization to meet business volume requirements
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems including PPAP, Process Flow, Control Plans, SOPs, and other manufacturing standards
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, R&D, Finance, Purchase, Suppliers, and Vendors to support manufacturing excellence and business objectives
  • Lead DFA (Design for Assembly) and VAVE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) initiatives
  • Sound knowledge of Assembly fixtures design, GD & T, Master checker
  • Deliver cost-saving, innovation, and productivity improvement projects that enhance PQCDS (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety) performance
  • Thorough Knowledge of TCF Manufacturing Process, Tooling, ECU flashing, End-of-Line equipments like RBT, W/A, Shower testing etc.
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve critical and chronic manufacturing quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Finalization of PLC & automation specifications in all TCF equipment
  • Handling ECN's and monitoring PCRN's related to TCF shops. APQP Elements related to FTG planning and development
  • Process Digitization & Industry 4.0 adaptation. Poka-Yoke Implementation
  • Able to identify required changes in EOL Machines (Brake Oil Filling, AC Filling, Coolant Filling Equipment), RBT (Roller Brake Tester) as per new models to be executed
  • Able to select Torque Tools, special tools as per new model requirement
  • Co-ordination with various suppliers for facilities development & implementation

Education Qualification

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline

General Experience

8 - 10 years of experience in Process Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Engineering
