Education Qualification
Education Qualification
Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree specialising in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognised institution. This educational foundation is essential to underpin the technical knowledge required for equipment maintenance, electrical systems, automation, and control strategies in a manufacturing context.
Alternatively, relevant advanced diplomas in Mechanical or Automobile engineering are also considered, especially complemented by extensive hands-on experience in similar industrial settings. Such qualifications should reflect a strong grasp of manufacturing processes, automation systems, and maintenance principles.
Continuous professional development and certifications in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and quality management standards (such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949) are highly advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to staying abreast of evolving technologies and industry best practices.
Mahindra & Mahindra values educational diversity as long as the candidate showcases a strong alignment between academic credentials and practical expertise required for this role.
General Experience
General Experience
Experience requirements vary based on academic background:
- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree holders: A minimum of 3 to 6 years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within manufacturing or automotive sectors, focusing on electrical and electronics systems, automation, and production equipment.
- Diploma holders: Typically, 7 to 10 years of practical experience is expected, encompassing comprehensive maintenance tasks, operational support, process optimisation, and supervisory roles.
This experience should include proven involvement in executing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, troubleshooting complex machinery, and applying improvement methodologies within a production environment.
Applicants with exposure to battery assembly processes or electric propulsion systems will find their experience well-regarded due to the specialised nature of this role.
The ability to document processes, comply with quality management systems, and engage successfully in cross-functional teams are key facets of the experience sought.
