Assistant Manager - Safety

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of safety, health, and environmental standards in the plant.
• Maintain safety records, incident reports, MIS, and statutory documentation.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, PPE audits, and awareness programs.
• Coordinate safety training for employees and contract workers.
• Monitor compliance with the Factories Act and other statutory requirements.
• Identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective actions.
• Support certification of safety-critical equipment and statutory audits.
• Assist in preparing SOPs and organizing safety initiatives/events.

Key Deliverables

• Reduction in workplace injuries and incidents.
• Timely reporting and closure of near misses.
• Effective implementation of Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS).
• Improved PPE compliance and safety awareness.
• Implementation of safety improvement/Poka-Yoke initiatives.
• Compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
