Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Lead the comprehensive planning and procurement process for parts across four major platforms: LTV, MHCV, U202, and W201, managing approximately 800 to 1000 parts per platform to ensure timely availability and quality standards.
- Coordinate effectively with a diverse supplier base, including both local and global partners, to secure materials that meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Conduct detailed material cost benchmarking exercises to identify opportunities for cost optimization and support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Implement initiatives aimed at reducing inventory carrying costs by enhancing stock management practices and adopting lean inventory techniques.
- Drive positioning of new agricultural equipment models within a competitive market, leveraging market insights to align procurement strategies and support business growth objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to align procurement plans with production schedules and product development timelines.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuous improvement in service, innovation, and sustainability compliance.
- Lead digitisation and analytics projects within supply chain management to enhance transparency, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the negotiation and contract management process to ensure advantageous terms that reflect the company’s strategic objectives and compliance standards.
- Establish robust reporting mechanisms to track procurement performance metrics and support executive decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout the supply chain processes.

Education Qualification
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree in a relevant discipline such as Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field. This educational background provides the technical foundation necessary to understand complex manufacturing processes and material requirements.
Advanced qualifications or certifications in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Project Management are considered advantageous and can support professional development within this role.

General Experience
Applicants should have 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, Materials Management, or Operations. Experience within sourcing or supply chain functions must include at least 3 to 4 years explicitly focused on supply chain management or sourcing activities, especially within operational environments.
Demonstrated expertise in managing complex supply chains, particularly in the manufacturing sector, is essential. Experience working with multi-platform product lines and high-volume part procurement will enable successful navigation of operational complexities.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships across diverse geographical locations is desirable. Exposure to digitisation initiatives and analytics-driven supply chain transformations further enhances the candidate's suitability.
Previous roles should reflect achievements in cost management, inventory optimization, and strategic sourcing that have contributed to measurable business improvements.
Critical Experience
The role requires critical experience in leadership and strategic sourcing within a manufacturing context. Candidates should have a track record as Head of buyer operations managing multiple hubs and plants, demonstrating capability in overseeing large-scale procurement functions.
Experience with Core Procurement and Planning Control (CPPC) and logistics management is mandatory to ensure smooth material flow and supply chain coordination.
Successful candidates will have led digitisation and analytics projects focused on supply chain management, driving transformation through data-informed strategies and technology adoption.
Expertise in managing a national supplier network, including development and risk mitigation, will be key to optimizing supplier performance and maintaining robust supply chains.
