Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As the Deputy Manager for Tractor Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI), you will oversee the comprehensive management of daily operations across multiple shifts within our tractor assembly and testing facilities. Your role encompasses ensuring adherence to production schedules, operational efficiency, and quality standards throughout all manufacturing processes. You will implement and monitor key performance indicators related to production output, cost control, and quality compliance, while strictly upholding safety protocols and environmental guidelines aligned with OHSAS 18001 standards.
Your leadership will extend to driving Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities that enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Managing human resources is a core responsibility, involving staffing decisions, continuous development, and performance management programs tailored for an operational team. You will cultivate a motivated and high-performing management team tasked with meeting operational targets.
Collaboration will be key as you maintain strong working relationships across business units, sales teams, and engineering departments, coordinating cross-functional strategies and communication to align multiple and distributed facilities with organizational goals. You will actively participate in continuous process improvement initiatives, fostering innovation and incorporating feedback loops from customers and internal stakeholders to elevate the delivery standards of the pre-dispatch inspection section. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating detailed job descriptions and clear role expectations within the Tractor Assembly PDI section, ensuring clarity and alignment among team members.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation with an educational background in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, ensuring a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent credentials recognized by professional or academic institutions
Additional certifications or training relevant to manufacturing operations, quality management (such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing), or safety standards (such as OHSAS 18001) are highly advantageous and will support effective performance in this role.

General Experience

Candidates are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of resource management, process optimization, and health and safety standards pertinent to large-scale manufacturing operations. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality assurance, sales, and supply chain management is important to effectively integrate operational activities with broader business objectives. Prior involvement in driving quality compliance and regulatory adherence within manufacturing settings will contribute significantly to success in this role.
