Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As a Deputy Manager - Tractor Assembly, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the assembly line operations to ensure optimal cost control through enhanced productivity. You will be responsible for implementing strategies that reduce costs related to scrap, consumables, and manpower while strictly adhering to the departmental budget. Driving the SPR (Standard Productivity Ratio) to exceed 90% will be one of your key performance indicators.
Your responsibilities include performing detailed analysis of defect data and implementing robust countermeasures to maintain and improve product quality. You will lead the assembly manufacturing team to maintain rigorous control over Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale (PQCDSM). Ensuring timely delivery of products as per production plans, coordinating cross-functionally with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders for continuous process improvements will be central to your role.
You will also spearhead new product establishment activities, facilitating smooth implementation into mass production. Managing and adhering to training schedules for workers and staff to uplift skill levels is essential. Daily human resource management duties involve resolving conflicts and fostering a motivated, cohesive team environment.
A critical aspect of your role involves conducting gap analysis to identify and mitigate production, quality, and equipment breakdown losses. You will synchronize part supplies across different tractor models to streamline assembly operations effectively.

Education Qualification
We seek candidates with a strong foundational background in engineering, preferably holding one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
A thorough understanding of manufacturing principles, production processes, and quality control is essential. Candidates with academic credentials complemented by relevant hands-on experience in manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.
Continuous professional development and a commitment to learning new technologies related to tractor assembly and manufacturing processes are encouraged. Knowledge of industry standards and emerging trends within the agricultural machinery sector will be advantageous.
General Experience
The role requires applicants to have substantial experience within manufacturing settings, particularly in assembly line management or production engineering. Candidates should possess between 3 to 7 years of relevant industry experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility in managing production operations, cost control, and quality assurance.
Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendor relationships, and implementing process improvements will be critical. Candidates are expected to have a proven track record of achieving production targets and leading teams towards operational excellence.
Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, along with experience in troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions, is highly desirable.
Critical Experience
Critical experience for this role includes hands-on leadership in tractor assembly or similar heavy equipment manufacturing domains. Candidates must have demonstrated capabilities in cost management, productivity enhancement, and quality control within assembly operations.
