Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
As Manager of the Paint Shop at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and directing all aspects of the plant operations related to painting processes. Your responsibilities will include managing daily activities such as production scheduling, manufacturing execution, maintenance coordination, and engineering support specific to the paint shop. You will oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of your team, promoting a culture of development, accountability, and high engagement.
Your leadership will also extend to production work scheduling tailored to meet internal targets and delivery commitments. You will identify and resolve operational impediments, ensuring seamless process flows and timely product outputs. Collaboration with the plant general manager will be essential to align the paint shop’s performance with broader plant objectives.

Additional certifications or training in manufacturing management, safety protocols, or quality control methodologies will be advantageous. Experience encompassing maintenance management, quality assurance, and compliance adherence in a highly regulated setting is highly beneficial. Previous leadership experience involving recruitment, talent development, and performance management within manufacturing or production contexts will help ensure you can effectively manage and motivate a diverse workforce. Critical Experience
A proven track record in paint shop operations within the manufacturing sector is critical, ideally within automotive, heavy machinery, or similar industries. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in overseeing complex painting processes, equipment maintenance, and implementing environmental and safety regulations specific to paint shops.
Hands-on experience driving Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs and operational excellence frameworks will be required to enhance process reliability and efficiency.
